it's not too late!

please enjoy this video of some great local artists/really nice people.

not sure why it's cutting off the right side of the video... sorry. click to watch it on youtube.

*side note: in one of my weird preggo dreams, Brine Webb (featured singer) may have assisted in a spontaneous C-section for Ollie. he may have.

FINALLY! HS sports shirts on american apparel, by an actual graphic designer!

sorry, but if you're from SMALL TOWN AMERICA you know what i'm talking about. some inexperienced teen with no skills has an idea for a shirt, that kid has an in with a sponsor or teacher in charge of something who has no idea about good design and BOOM! the dumbest shirts for a HS you've ever seen, plus they are crunchy and were made by a child younger than the students that will be wearing them!!! yay!, right? no...

pretty sure my senior shirt said
"we came, we feared the mullet, we left"
in a font that even i know should never leave your computer screen! gross.

may i present your knight in shining armor, the rescuer, the hero of (insert any sport here) season!

some talented friends of mine have a new company with great school designs, on responsibly made tshirts (i.e. not made in sweatshops). many schools in central oklahoma are represented, so go to the website and gear up for gamedays!
Here are some of my favorites!

simple, sporty, super soft shirts.
aren't these great?! i love them!
maybe they come in maternity sizes?! ha.

thank you heidi klum!

oops, i guess i took a little time off from the old blog.
i'll refrain from apologizing since my laziness probably didn't wreck your life. i mean, you can probably live without reading this stuff... i mean don't risk it. you should totally keep this blog bookmarked. but you might not die if i skip a post or two.

starting my life in the real world has been quite fun! it's not too different from graduate school, as most of my time was spent in clinicals- going to work with someone and doing speechy stuff while they supervise/work alongside you and critique/encourage! i won't bore you with the details, although if you're curious about them, i could talk about my clinicals for hours. i had some great, challenging, inspiring experiences! just ask :) back to the fun stuff! i received my first paycheck and didn't really splurge, just got some basics. i got a 3 pairs of maternity pants, and one shirt, but nothing extravagant. just essentials.

my faves: Loved by Heidi Klum

1. versatile, black, skinny capris that will work as jeans when paired with super high boots in the fall and winter! great for this season too. $14!

2. skinny jeans $39
3. striped shirt $25

4. khaki pants for work, on sale...don't remember the price! not exciting, but when the other option is navy scrub pants, any variety is good.

stay tuned to see what my BIG, NON-MATERNITY purchase was with my second paycheck!!
bhahaha. i almost don't want to announce it. but big girl moments require big girl celebrations!

joni handing out napkins! thanks for all your hard work, joni!

virgil, the great, pictured with nick. i am so thankful for both of them. virgil brought up a cargo van packed full of western themed decorations! whiskey barrels, arrangements in boots, split rail fencing, marlboro man cut outs, grasses in pots, ropes, crates, string lights, everything! it was so fun! my mom loved all the little details. she said they made the party, so thank you so much joni and virgil! ya'll are the best!

thanks nick for the lighting and manual labor you put in. sorry for the congestion you got from blowing out the barn and all the hay! you're a trooper and i love you!
